Using the selfie camera ( stereo ) on the LUME PAD 2 tablet to film Gulls. The two lenses on the selfie camera are fairly wide angle – they each have an angle of view of 80 degree horizontal – equivalent focal length of 22 mm. The two lenses are 18mm apart. A side by side image is produced. These images are rectilinear and I have distorted them to make it sort of suitable for VR180 degree viewing ( normally viewed using a headset ). As the images are not made by a fisheye lens with an angle of view of 180 degrees – I have added a black boarder around the active image for the parts which are at the edges of vision. The video file uploaded to YT is 4000×2000 30fps.
