We attach the Canon RF5.2mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye Lens onto the brand new @RED Digital Cinema RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV to capture 8K in 120fps inside the Metaverse on Oculus Quest 2. Here is the final result – a mini-film shot at Burbank Film Studio, California.

Shot on RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV in R3D LQ, LOG3G10, RedWideGamutRGB in F3.2 – F5.6 with Canon RF5.2mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye Lens. Most of the video was shot at 59.97fps – but some shot at 120fps. I slow it down to have slow-motion and speed ramp effects.
The footage is graded with standard RED REC709 conversion LUTs. But we recommend coloring it in ACES workflow with Resolve 17 or Mistika Boutique.
We uploaded the ProRes Master directly onto YouTube in 8K 60fps (YouTube server compress the ProRes for bandwidth adaptive streaming – so you see a better quality with a better Internet speed, in theory).

We will provide source footage, R3D, ProRes 4444 stitch, and unstitch footage for download soon. Please give us some time to organize everything for you.
